There is a lot of discussion around print on demand. However, EAST END PRINTS can only see the benefits to build a sustainable future. The planet is literally straining under the demands of current levels of consumerism and it can only be advantageous for manufacturers to start to consider ways of avoiding costly over stocking.
If we continue over producing more than we need, we will require 5 new planets to service the buying needs of future generations...
Here are some of the reasons we use print on demand:
- We only carry enough stock to display.
- We don't spend time packaging and posting prints.
- It reduces risk - so we can take risks - we don't need to print a massive run from a new artist that we believe is great -therefore we have more choice to take educated risks on new artworks for the market.
- We do not need to find a large amount of storage space. Prints are always sent out in the best condition straight from the printer.
